Laying Birds

We keep approximately 18,000 laying birds which are kept in 80ft x 40ft netted pens with plenty of grass and cover. Due to low stocking levels, good husbandry and land rotation we do not use medication at all during the overwintering and laying process. We feel that this helps build up the birds natural immunity to disease and therefore passes on to the eggs, chicks and poults that are produced. Healthy laying stock kept in good conditions is key to the production of the very highest quality birds. We do not use cages of any kind. Top grade ex-laying birds are available from mid June onwards.

Hatching

All our pheasant and partridge chicks are produced in our state of the art hatchery which operates a one way system reducing the risk of cross contamination during the different incubation and hatching stages. We operate a strict bio security regime at all times, essential for producing healthy day olds.

Our hatch day is Monday and we are happy to accommodate large or small orders of pheasant and partridge.
